50 things about me
  1.  Favorite color is green
  2. I have 3 younger brothers.  We all have the same initials, J.J.
  3. My brothers and I all play for the same baseball team over the summer.
  4. I’m a big sports fan.  College, professional…. Whatever happens to be on tv.
  5. Baseball is my favorite sport.  I’ve been playing every summer for the past 20 years or so.  Also like basketball, softball, football, ping pong, and golf.
  6. Big Minnesota Twins, Vikings, and Timberwolves fan!
  7. I grew up on a dairy farm.  Had lots of cows, cats, and a dog.
  8. Dairy and crop farming is the only kind of jobs I’ve ever known.
  9. Get up most days at 4:30 to milk cows (its not as fun as it might sound).
  10. Love sitting in the tractor with the radio on.
  11. I’m from Kerkhoven, MN, population 700.  I love small towns and living in the country.
  12. Have a bad habit of biting my fingernails.  Feel free to help me stop.
  13. Very much an introvert.
  14. Don’t like being the center of attention.
  15. Working at a bible camp this summer.  This will be a challenging new experience for me.  Very excited about it.
  16. I love fishing.  Taken several fishing trips to Manitoba and Ontario, Canada.
  17. Spent about 6 months in Costa Rica in the last two years as a short-term missionary.  Also spent 2 weeks in Panama on a short mission trip.
  18. Learned to live on rice, beans, and bananas in Costa Rica.  Pretty much every meal consisted of some form these three foods
  19. Lived with two different Tico (costa rican) families.
  20. I don’t like chocolate.  Especially  cake, milk, and dark chocolate.
  21. Can’t stand the taste or smell of coffee.
  22. Worked with people from Ukraine and Moldova.  Very excited to be going to these countries.
  23. Wow.   Only #21.
  24. Not a fan of facebook except for the fact that it helps me get to know my teammates.
  25. Going to a wedding for a friend in Alabama this summer.  Road trip anybody?
  26. Usually a man of few words.  Maybe that’s why it’s so hard to come up with 50?

  30. Don’t like reading except for the Bible.
  31. Never heard of hunger games until like a week ago.

  33. Try to play a little guitar and piano.
  34. Member of a Covenant Church.
  35. I’ve been a youth mentor through the YMCA for a young boy the last 5 years.
  36. Would like to go white water rafting.  Bungee jumping or skydiving might be fun also.

  38. Most comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt
  39. Never broke a bone.
  40. Never had a cavity.
  41. Don’t like the fundraising part of being a missionary
  42. Like to eat meat. Mostly steak, pork, and chicken.
  43. Really like raisin bran crunch for breakfast.
  44. Never would have pictured myself doing anything like the World Race a few years ago.
  45. Dr. Pepper is my favorite!  .
  46. Looking forward to traveling around the world.
